Her father has tried to exorcise her obsession with swimming since she was a toddler, without success. An unwanted pregnancy forces her to abandon her dream – and herself. The child’s father does not want to be involved, so as a woman in the ‘30s in Sweden, Sally has no choice but to do what is expected of her: to be a mother. There is no place left for her dreams and Sally is pulled into bottomless darkness, until her sister Carla saves her. With renewed purpose, together the sisters begin to dismantle the conventions they are constantly facing. In late August 1939, Sally stands on the shore at Dover and takes her first step into the English Channel. She swims across the open and icy sea for 15 hours, waving to the Navy who are readying for war. A couple of days after Sally swims ashore at Calais, Poland is invaded.

吴耀汉,陈欣健,张天爱阿广和阿明在中国一农村长大，两人非常友好，更一起逃到香港，希望寻找金钱梦。然而到香港之后，他俩才发觉困难重重，又尝尽了人情冷暖，闹出不少笑话。此时，香港有位超级巨星，长相和阿广一模一样，在影片拍摄中途，因为做了一个危险动作而身亡，电影公司便找阿广作巨星的替身，他们因而转运。在阿广代替巨星时，他开始明白财富并不等于快乐，而且财富令他非常空虚。不过，阿明却用尽他的新身份和金钱去享受和花天酒地，于是两位好友产生了很多矛盾。最后，阿明知道阿广要重覆巨星身亡时所拍摄的镜头，阿明立即赶去告知阿广，但已经太迟。幸好阿广大难不死，最后两位好友重拾友谊，而且更知道香港不是久留之地。

米娅·法罗,伍迪·艾伦,尼克·阿波罗·福特Danny Rose（伍迪·艾伦 Woody Allen 饰）曾经是一个演员，后来成了一个百老汇的演出经纪人。他挖掘过不少有潜力的新人，但这些人后来都离开了他。最近，他又在力捧一个已婚的男歌手Lou Canova（Nick Apollo Forte 饰）。Lou和一个叫Tina（米亚·法罗 Mia Farrow 饰）有着婚外情。Danny帮Lou争取到了一次在Milton Berle面前的机会，这能够让Lou的事业更上一层楼。十分紧张的Lou要求Tina到时必须在场，并让Danny去把Tina带来并且伪装成Tina的男朋友。Danny找到Tina，却卷入了Tina和她的前男友的纠纷中。前男友认定是Danny抢走了Tina，于是让他的两个当打手的兄弟去报复Danny。Danny和Tina经过重重磨难终于到达演出现场，Lou的演出也十分成功。然而，Lou却在Tina的怂恿下准备离开Danny，投靠另一个经纪人......
